The trip home was suspiciously perfect

cornerofmadnessOh there were bumps like not sleeping well and the garbage opening up all over the car seat (thank god I had put my winter emergency blanket there) but it went well. Kanda sat on me while I had my morning tea and then I shut the bedroom doors and he turned into a pancake on the floor giving me SAD eyes but didn't try to run like normal. He made not a peep.
The drive was bright and sunny and empty. No one was on the road not even on I-70 which is usually stressful and crowded. Maybe everyone was at the mall. I did for some reason have to drink a ton. I even had to stop and refill the water bottles. No clue. Most of that water has not made a return.
Sadly the brisket I got at rowdy's yesterday which is usually fantastic was a little sub par this time.
There were a few other hiccups but you know what, some reason, some how Google Chrome keeps restoring the stuff I'm looking at every time so I'll keep those hiccups to myself just in case.
I brought tons of cheeses. I've been hoarding cheese. The amber mist whiskey cheddar from Wales is delicious. If I had known how good that was, it would have been GONE by now.
Thought about the two stories I want to write. I've made a bit of headway on the SF one as far as the opening. The weird west one is still perking but slow. I know that the Navajo's name is Sam Zahnii (well his white name, his Navajo name is Tsela) and I'm having a bit more trouble with the Jewish character. I was looking at surnames and liked Adler (eagle) or Einhorn (Unicorn. ha!) but I'm not sure I like any of my first names with those. Thinking of Adam, Levi or Elijah. Thoughts? Still need a damn plot. It needs to happen SOON.
Tired from the drive and the endless unloading. I swear some things are missing. Here's hoping not.
And oh I have a neat sounding story on Jana's blog (and so far the author has been very nice to me, just getting to know her thru doing this blog post for her) check it out and give it some love
here and I started reading a non-romance (by the non-romance side of DSP that I desperately want on) that I'm really enjoying Blue on Black

I don't know much about him except eh died when my granny was a little girl & my dad looks a bit like him. (Think Capt. thanks. Hmmm I might snag the name Isaac. That's good. Isaac Adler wouldn't be bad. Ahahaha hmm you know those glasses might work. I'm trying to think of what he would look like in the late 1800s.

You're welcome. :D Go ahead. :D Isaac Adler sounds like a nice Jewish boy. :D Yeah? Good! I love glasses like that.Isaac would probably have a beard & be orthodox. Think black hat, black suit, Tallit Katan (white short poncho like garment with tzitzis [fringes] on the 4 corners) worn under his shirt. He'd walk if needed on Shabbat or a holiday & woudl attend services if the town was big enough to have a minion (probably at someone's home, since there may not be a big enough population for a shul.

Date: 2015-12-22 03:56 am (UTC)That's helpful. I know some of the dietary restrictions which I think m ight be a problem for him in some ways because I'm doubting there are many Jews where he'll be. I'm thinking he'd be very conflicted about his own sexuality especially at that time.
I'm also thinking he's given up his faith mostly after the war or at least be very shaken in it.

Even if he wasn't Jewish, it woudl still be an issue, I think. Peeps weren't as open & accepting of things as they are now. Plus there were probably a ton of laws against homosexuality too. *sighs*
That works & with him eating more kosher-style than actually keeping kosher, it would be an easy thing for him to fall into.
