Happy New Year's
Dec. 31st, 2015 07:56 pm
I'm SO glad 2015 is over. I forgot my 'good things' jar in OH so we'll have to wait for that. I've already detailed the low points but let's toss my health on that boo boo pile. And that bust with the job hunt.
As for the high points: Seeing the Alamo and San Antonio (in spite the horrible weather going there and going back), publishing A Wolf in the Fold & Soldiers of the Sun (even if this has caused nothing but heart ache) & the free story What Stays in Vegas. I got my website started. I'm still this side of the grave. I have enough food and shelter. I have my books, my music and my cat and family. So I should smile.
So for 2016, may it be a good year for us all.Take time out of your day to say hi to someone. Take time to hold out a helping hand. Travel somewhere new, even if it's just a short drive away. Read a book. Try a new show. Turn off the social media and its sea of hate and prejudice from time to time. Give yourself a break. Be kind to others. Be kind to yourself.Enjoy the time you have.

There's a story behind this golden glass goose. I don't remember who bought it from a house sale in the 80s but when my brother was a little boy and wanted to give me a gift he wrapped up the goose. Every year I got that goose. this year I gave the goose back to him.

Ugh so fat. John got me a TARDIS wallet

He also got me a Steampunk TARDIS

We didn't get the Star Trek Tree up so we did this.
