Today it snowed. Not much, less than an inch but there was ice under it and everyone was driving like idiots. 70 mph in some places 25 in others. Neither extreme was called for. I was exhausted. I have a very long day on Wed and I wasn't going to go to Jackson to stock up for the huge snow predicted on Friday/Saturday (12-24 inches. Wee). But I was so tired I missed my exit and headed right onto Jackson.

I'm amused at people's emergency supply choices. Me I picked up things I can eat cold, fibrous fruits, veggies, rotissiere chicken, bread, peanut butter, crackers etc. the things they were sold out of were dip and chips, anything resembling taco/tortilla fixings, cheap beer and frozen pizza. Now some of that might be for playoff weekend but really??

My friend seems at peace with the diagnosis from the doctor basically rest and PT. I'm glad that's the answer.

My bacteria still isn't here. I'm not amused.

I was too tired to cook off anything for the upcoming blizzard (I like to prepare meals that can be eaten cold) I did get eggs boiled and I have cooked bacon and a shit ton of cheese so that will have to do. Cross your fingers that if the storm does hit, my power stays on and I'll do the same for you.

Here's hoping if I AM snowed in this weekend, I can write something without being distracted by everything.

I'm glad you made it home okay with all the idiots out on the road. We're supposed to get a foot of snow. We could lose power too. *sighs* It's good then you missed your exit. Maybe your tired brain decided you needed to go shopping today. XD

*laughs at the food choices* I did get a couple of frozen pizzas (personal size) for those that like them. Me, I've got a ton of curry to eat, & we have bread, rolls, cheese & coldcuts, in case we can't heat up anything. It's going to suck, not being able to use the stove if that happens. XD I need my tea! And I bought the last bag of ice melt. I'm hoping it'll be enough.

I'm glad things worked out for your friend. I hope she gets better soon!

XD I can't believe your bacteria still isn't there. XD

*crosses my fingers* I hope you & Kanda stay nice & warm & toasty with plenty of good food to eat! :D

Here's to writing & no distractions! I'm slowly whittling away at my to-do list. XD

I would guess that playoff weekend plays a much larger role in those food choices than any possible impending disaster. ("Storm? What storm? FOOTBALL!!!!!!!!!!")

Congrats on the snow. I have to spend a week in the Caribbean. (I know it sounds great, but I'm thinking I have to tell my mom I'm tired of going places where it's HOTTER than Phoenix...)

It is lovely, but it can get blisteringly hot. I remember being drenched in sweat in November. :P

You have bacon and you have cheese. Perfect. You're set for the winter. I hope you also have wine in case all the water in your apartment freezes. You'll need something liquid to drink (with all that cheese).
