Some days you just need someone to pat your shoulder and commiserate. There's nothing like saying something that has been hurtful to you and being told to suck it up cry baby. (and surprisingly NOT my family this time).

Of course I'm touchy today because a) I think I waited too long to go to the doctor's because this started to spread south into my lungs. I feel worse than I did in a week of being sick b) some of that sick is the meds which is very unusual for me. I'm almost never sick over claritin but it's making me tired and Zpacks almost never make me nauseated but this time...
C) I didn't sleep but I have half days on friday and tried to nap. Nope, how can you be this exhausted and not sleep?

I did go do laundry but there you have it. Here's hoping I'm good enough to drive to Athens tomorrow. If nothing else I've been going out to eat because I'm not feeling like cooking.

I got a second blind date book, this one a JOhn Grisham kid's mystery. Who knew he did that? At least that'll be more readable.

I want to clean my house SO MUCH but every time I lean over my sinuses explode AND my parents accused me of giving them this infection over the phone as they're both sick now. I TOLD them it was virulent :-) It is strange all three of us have it at once especially since I'm 200 miles away.

It's eating into writing. My poor Weird West story is just lying there like a rotting carcass. But someone I don't know stopped in to love on my picfor 1000 story. that was the nicest thing that's happened all week. I DID get more edits done for Blood Red but realized I had several major timeline issues. This is what happens when you not only expand a short story piecemeal but also give it to your beta readers a chapter at a time. A ton of stuff gets missed. Sigh. Now to figure out a fix.

You know how some pets are super comforting when you're sick. that's not Kanda. He hasn't sat with me since I got sick. He's like eww cooties.

How miserable. I'm amazed you can even think about working or traveling or writing. You're a brave woman!

Well, Kanda could at least be supportive if you're going to take care of everything while you're feeling bad!

I know, right? He's such a bad boy. If he's not going to do the dishes, the least he could do is visit with me.

I really hope this passes quickly for you. Being sick and having stuff to do is awful.

hahaha your icon.

Sorry for the sickness and gosh darn it, you'd better not send it to me next. I'm doing WELL and haven't gotten sick since last summer.

I think I read one of the Grisham kids' books. Perhaps. Maybe. Or have seen one on the shelf. Not sure.

There were no blind date books at the library today. So disappointing. So I picked up a coupla books for Mom instead.

Ate gyro pizza today. Amazingly yummy. If you lived closer we could go listen to bluegrass tonight and eat pizza again. :D

I will endeavor to keep doing well.

I was disappointed no blind book dates this year. I was looking forward to them.

The banjo player came around to our table and talked to us about coming back later to hear his band and him play (Salt of the Earth was the band's name).
