Figured I'd start with something good. Lots of neat stuff from talented young people, always nice to see. I had no idea we had a student from Africa here. We get a lot from the UK and Brazil/Argentina to play soccer but otherwise we're NOT very diverse like bigger schools. She had some interesting stuff. I didn't get to stay to see who won though.

Because my hip kept giving out and I'm swamped with work.

Mom pointed out the hip might keep me from traveling at all. 'You need to take care of your health first.'

But it feels more and more like I'm winding down completely. If I don't some of it soon I may never.

Also what I don't need right now is passive aggressive crap. Yeah sometimes I post here 'crap happened at work but I cant' talk about it' but none of you work with me. Something happened at the conference for my publishing house. Three separate people have posted just that 'something happened and now they're depressed/disillusioned with the company.' UGH. Do not do that in private groups for the company in question because you're afraid it'll get back to the head editors but then get the rest of us upset because we don't know what happened.

Granted it could just be giant egos got bruised but I'm still a little miffed they didn't move Soldiers to the non-romance line but I had the guts to actually say I was disappointed about that and not post passive aggressive vagueness.
