To balance out the severe back pain and the sleeping only 1-2 hours at a time.

1. I've narrowed down the hotels to three. This is a process for me (so I probably SHOULD do that bus trip where I don't have to make choices)

2. Got a good report from the dentist and he fixed the rough part of that tooth he fixed for me in April.

3. My books got here. WHoo Hooo. I'll have something to sell! That is such a huge relief.

4. My tablet seems to work.

5. Mom told me about a new series she and dad are watching on Ovation (a station DISH threw out) Miss Fisher’s murder mysteries. I've watched two and I love it. I think those who liked Agent Carter might like this (looking at you [livejournal.com profile] sholio). It's set in the Roaring 20s in Melbourne Australia and Phyrne Friday is a lot like Peggy Carter, independent intelligent and refuses to conform to societal standards. Yes, she is rich which lets her get away with that sort of behavior (she picks bed partners for fun for example). She is as observant as Sherlock but seems to enjoy people much more. Not afraid to use her wit or her gun. Her closest friend is a cross dressing lady doctor (not sure yet if she's also a lesbian). It's a series worth checking out on Netflix.

it's been good for my roses my really pink one photo 100_5212_zpsgoth96mj.jpg

Your roses are very pretty.

Too many of mine have suddenly reverted to root stock - like three. They're not the evil nasty root stock which will eat your fingers if your not careful but they're still not the colors I bought but the typical red rose. Very very disappointed.

Yay for good stuff happening!

What kind of roses are they? Obviously not lanky hybrid teas like I have--gorgeous flowers, but stingy producers on ugly bushes. Yours look all lush and full, like the roses in English gardens.

Our PBS station has been showing the Phryne Fisher series. Very nice period piece. I would like to read the books, but my library doesn't have them.

the red one is some sort of knock-out rose and I don't know about the pink. believed it or not both were Wal-Mart

I'd like to read the Fisher books too

YAY! for all the good things happening!! :D

Your roses are sooo pretty!! I wish I had roses, but I don't think they would grow well here. The periwinkle suddenly over took the garden in the back yard. It spread sooo much, I don't think I could dig it all up. T.T Plus there's some poison ivy back there too. T.T So no roses. I guess I'll have to amke due with my hydrangeas, azaleas, lilies, violets, & some peonies that would rather NOT bloom. >.>

Periwinkle is nice. Poison Ivy less so. I've had luck with roses just about everywhere but they can be a PAIN in the ass.

I love peonies so much. ANd lilies are my favorites.

They are pretty, but they're EVERYWHERE & would take over the lawn too, if they weren't mowed. XD Yeah. Luckily it seems to be just along an old section of fencing that's behind some trees & shrubs, so not easy to get to. That's awesome!! They are? o.0

Me too! The ones at the botanic gardens are BEAUTIFUL!! <3 Yeah? :D

I have little luck with Peonies.

Lilies I have everywhere and I'll be sad to miss lilyfest this year

No clue! Three of Mom's, too. Her Rock and Roll is now over half red, the one in the front of the house that was sort of a purple-red has reverted and the bicolor orange/yellow rose is more than half red, too.
