Today brought great things
May. 19th, 2016 11:54 pmTo balance out the severe back pain and the sleeping only 1-2 hours at a time.
1. I've narrowed down the hotels to three. This is a process for me (so I probably SHOULD do that bus trip where I don't have to make choices)
2. Got a good report from the dentist and he fixed the rough part of that tooth he fixed for me in April.
3. My books got here. WHoo Hooo. I'll have something to sell! That is such a huge relief.
4. My tablet seems to work.
5. Mom told me about a new series she and dad are watching on Ovation (a station DISH threw out) Miss Fisher’s murder mysteries. I've watched two and I love it. I think those who liked Agent Carter might like this (looking at you
sholio). It's set in the Roaring 20s in Melbourne Australia and Phyrne Friday is a lot like Peggy Carter, independent intelligent and refuses to conform to societal standards. Yes, she is rich which lets her get away with that sort of behavior (she picks bed partners for fun for example). She is as observant as Sherlock but seems to enjoy people much more. Not afraid to use her wit or her gun. Her closest friend is a cross dressing lady doctor (not sure yet if she's also a lesbian). It's a series worth checking out on Netflix.
it's been good for my roses my really pink one

And the blood red one

Date: 2016-05-20 10:18 am (UTC)Too many of mine have suddenly reverted to root stock - like three. They're not the evil nasty root stock which will eat your fingers if your not careful but they're still not the colors I bought but the typical red rose. Very very disappointed.
Yay for good stuff happening!

Date: 2016-05-20 07:48 pm (UTC)Our PBS station has been showing the Phryne Fisher series. Very nice period piece. I would like to read the books, but my library doesn't have them.

Date: 2016-05-21 12:21 am (UTC)Your roses are sooo pretty!! I wish I had roses, but I don't think they would grow well here. The periwinkle suddenly over took the garden in the back yard. It spread sooo much, I don't think I could dig it all up. T.T Plus there's some poison ivy back there too. T.T So no roses. I guess I'll have to amke due with my hydrangeas, azaleas, lilies, violets, & some peonies that would rather NOT bloom. >.>
