early father's day

cornerofmadnessMy brother and SiL came today to celebrate Father's Day. too bad he thought we'd be eating at 2 pm so they could go home and get ready for her father's celebration tomorrow. I'm like you couldn't get ready before you came here? Oh well.
Anyway it was a nice day. We cooked out while dodging cicadas. Kanda got to explore the back patio and scampered off to behind the garage. He sulked all the way back to the house after mom wrangled him and then insisted on being inside.
And since dinner was so freaking early we went down my other aunt/uncle's house which is like two houses away for the rest of the night.
So nice lazy day but I got nothing accomplished, not for work, not writing, not anything other than downloading the kindle app onto my tablet. I found out that it works great if I get something from Amazon but will NOT open a kindle file that's sent to me. good to know.
now the fleabag is crushing my legs on the couch. So heavy. So hot. So furry.
