I wasn't going to post today other than to wish [livejournal.com profile] kerkevik_2014 a happy birthday (hope it was a good one!) but it looks like I need to leave a paper trail so to speak.

I just got another EOB and sure enough SIX more claims for the Texas Dana. I knew this wasn't going to go away easily. I'll have to call on Friday because tomorrow I'm going out all day with my BFF from college.

The only thing I accomplished today was a bit of editing on Cassadaga Nights and some lectures.

I had a question for you. Back when I wrote Splinters of Silver and Cold Iron I made Killian a seer. That can't change. However I had the visions preceeded by migraines. Well every time I see a seer that's how it's done. I need something else. Thoughts? I considered petite mal seizures but that would keep him from driving so....? Help?

I was going to suggest some kind of vision disturbance – double vision, or some kind of fuzziness... but that would stop him driving, too! Um... what about heightened senses? Everything becoming super-loud, say, or perhaps he becomes nauseas? What sort of thing are you looking for? Just some way that he knows that a vision is coming?

BTW. I've seen your Joy of the Day over at Twitter and I think its a really good idea. Would you mind if I did something similar on my blog, say on a weekly basis? If you'd rather I didn't hijack your idea, that's fine. I just thought I'd ask.

Oooo, I like the heightened senses thing. Or maybe time around him seems to slow down? Though that could also affect him driving. Nausea is always good, I think.

Nausea is visible and physical.

The double vision could work. Mostly I want OTHER people to know he's having issues of some sort. The double vision would be okay to drive if he lied about it but having a record of seizures...

Thanks.

yeah sure use it. I stole it from someone else a few others were doing I'm grateful for....

yes it is. Wonder what he could blame it on.

Well, if you want other people to be able to tell, perhaps you could have his appearance change. He could have a hot flush, say, (sorry, menopausal channelling there!) or perhaps his eyes change briefly – colour change, go white, or, ahem, sparkle....

Thank you!

Different foods than he's used to back home.

Not every time. I'll think of something because I like that idea.

General nervous stomach. We've both known people with that.
