Made it to Portland
Aug. 4th, 2016 01:52 amIt was an easy flight. Southwest not only had a wheelchair at the gate in St. Louis, they preboarded me so there's a perk to having a crippled up hip, I guess. I got my pick of seats. The plane was packed but luckily that was the short trip.
There was a space between me and the window seat for the long flight and I was thankful for the wheelchair ride because I had exactly 10 minutes to get to the damn gate. Too bad there was no food other than crackers (I brought some) but other than it was smooth flying.
And it was easy to get on the Max Rail to the hotel and there are tons of restaurants here and the hotel room is old but big and clean. I might not sleep though, SO in city with all the noises I'm not used to.
Looking forward to tomorrow's tour. Here's hoping it goes off well.
The only question is how the hell do people read ebooks all the time. My eyes hurt SO MUCH. I left Pitt with four half read books (two paper, two ebook) and finished them all and wrote 10 pages of my story so yay.
There is a problem with my ebook though. Not all stories in my kindle app downloaded. I have to read them online. bah.

Date: 2016-08-04 01:09 pm (UTC)I hope you have fun on your tour! :D
I hear you on the e-reader. I have a kindle, but I'd much rather read a real book. Which is kinda sad, seeing as I have a ton of free books on it. XD The biggest plus to a real book vs. an e-book; I can still read when I run out of power, I can leave my book out in the car, in a hotel room, on the beach/pool, basically anywhere & I never worry about someone walking off with it, the way I worry with my kindle.
