Don't say I can resist peer pressure. Instead of doing a ficathon like I SHOULD be I'm here playing with Ad-libs or in this case the Drabble-matic

I got these two lovely specimens of a story.

The Adventure Of The Cat

Connor and Faith were out for a pretty Valentine's walk under the moon. As they went, Faith rested her hand on Connor's arm. It was the most romantic walk ever. But even though the day was so good, Connor was filled with ferocious dread.

"Do you suppose it's frightening here?" he asked gently.

"You strong silly," Faith said, tickling Connor with her fire. "It's completely foggy."

Just then, a dangerous cat leapt out from behind a tree and jumped Faith in the eye. "Aaargh!" Faith screamed.

Things looked sulky. But Connor, although he was pouty, knew he had to save his love. He grabbed a sword and, like a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs, beat the cat lovingly until it ran off. "That will teach you to jump innocent people."

Then he clasped Faith close. Faith was bleeding roughly. "My darling," Connor said, and pressed his lips to Faith's neck.

"I love you," Faith said hurriedly, and expired in Connor's arms.

Connor never loved again.

And the last line of this next one is worth keeping the story

To Roughly Jump

Connor and Faith were celebrating a pretty Valentine's Day together. Connor had cooked an angry dinner and they ate under the moon by candlelight.

"My darling," Faith said, stroking Connor's eye, "I have something for you." She gave a box to Connor. "It is but a frightening token of my ferocious love."

Connor opened the box. Inside was a strong fire! He gazed at it gently. Then he gazed at Faith gently. "It's dangerous," Connor said. "Come here and let me jump you."

Just then, a foggy crone sprang out of hiding and cackled like a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. "Your happiness will not last!" she said in a pouty voice and dropped a piece of paper onto the dinner table.

Faith read it. "It's a page from a diary. It says...it says that you're my brother."

They stared at each other hurriedly as the crone cackled some more. Connor's neck began to tremble. Then Faith shrugged, pulled out a tree, and hit the crone on her arm. She fell over dead.

"Problem solved!" Connor said and kissed Faith snappishly. "This is a sulky Valentine's Day!"

They lovingly burned the diary page in the candle and never told another soul.

And then they jumped each other all night long.
