Hometown Ficathon

Here's my story for the Hometown Ficathon. It's also in answer to the geekgirlz's In Vino Veritas challenge which has yet to be posted to our site AND it started out as leni_ba 's birthday present (and well it still is). It's called The Sound of Silence and actually takes place where I live now. I've lived so many places I really don't have a hometown any more. I'm more of a gypsy. Anyhow hope you like it, let me know.

Almost got my Faith ficathon story done which is good because it, the Harmony and the Stoner ficathon's are all due 7/1 and I have barely started the other two, dang orals exams.

Feeling Blah

My test is now in three days, two days of studying left for all the good it will do. I'm sure most of us have felt like we've studied all we can and any more just confuses us but we keep trying because we'd feel terribly guilty if we didn't. I'm at that stage now. I just want it over with. Worrying about it is worse than being there...I hope.

Coupling that with all the other crap in my life is getting depressing. It just occured to me that while I've done so much fan writing, I haven't written a word of original fic in months. When I think about it, I get pretty furious with myself. Once this week is over, I'm going have to start back up again. At least I got that one short story out to a contest and I'm still trying with the novel.
