but it's cooled everything off to 75 degrees so I'll be off to pack up my clothes while it's decent in this house.

Feeling a little less horrible than yesterday. That's a plus. Giving myself that extra day to move helped mentally, less stressed.

Things I've accomplished: another half a chapter of Hyperion's Son. AND posted ch. 2 of the latest box of Crayon story,  Even To the Edge of Doom (If you ever wanted to see Dana do fluff, look at this).

I won a bunch of awards from the Angel & Buffy Fanfiction Awards (which are open again with a Faith theme this time) I won best AR for Through the Pale Door (a post-Home Connor story where Lilah breaks the spell to drive him insane), Judges Choice for Walk a Mile in Sorrow (the first Crayon story where teen-aged Dawn finds herself pregnant to Connor),  Best NC-17 conventional Pairing for Jocasta Revisited (An AR of Connor/Cordelia's first time together, written before Rain of Fire),  and outstanding NC-17 for Blood Drops on Rose Petals (yes, very popular Dawn/Connor set where I AM MOVING TO, so go look). All the plaques are the same basic design. They look lovely. See?

And speaking of awards, Maren is looking for FUTURE stories for her Futureverse awards there's only a few nominees in some sections and I know a lot of you have future fic. Don't make me poke you with a stick. Join me in being an award ho.

And here's a challenge for anyone who'd like to take it. I wrote a drabble last week that's caught a lot of attention. It's the one where Connor steals Angel's claddag

Connor slid the silver ring onto his thumb. His fingers were too slender for it to fit them. Hands, heart and what was the thing on the top? He didn’t know. What he did know was, it was the vampire’s.

The way it was tucked away in a velvet covered box, the pains at which it had been placed with what he guessed were his father’s most prized possessions, hand drawn pictures of two different women, Connor thought it might have meaning to the creature. Wearing the ring Connor left, wondering if he could use it to exploit Angel’s emotions.

h. The challenge is expand the story. Does Angel find out? What's he do? Connor steals it sometime in S4. You can have it discovered much later if you want it to happen (if you come up with how Connor would still have the ring in the future, all the better). Or Angel could catch him before he's out the door if you want. (for clarification, the hand drawn pictures are of Buffy and Darla). The only restrictions are no incest or slash. Other than that it's open and open ended, i.e. no deadline. Just post the link here when you're done and have fun.  Here's the drabble one last time.
