very tired

and depressed. I can't get my blood sugar to act right. Yesterday I had no carbs at ALL, no sugars, no nothing my blood sugar skyrocketed to over 200. THe night I had pizza and beer and it was 50 points lower than this. I don't know what to do. It shouldn't be so food disjointed. I'm going to stop checking my sugar at night because when it's insane like last night I don't sleep. I just obsess over it.

Then my students are busy telling my boss I never taught them half the stuff I did. He knows better and told them so (he can hear my lectures) Their test is on wed. I'm sure half will fail. SIgh. I even GAVE them two questions today, TWO. If they miss it, they deserve to fail. That's the one problem with teaching I can see, I have no patience for academic laziness.

And then comes THIS bit of weirdness Mom calls me to tell me my med school sent the Pay Us or We'll Break Your Legs letter to me AND my grandmother at my grandmother's address. I'm dumbfounded. HOW OCPM got my grannie's addy is beyond me let alone think to harrass me there. Then she tells me my dad and uncle got the letter and I'm thinking what the hell were they doing at Assunta's? I ask. Mom says no not THAT grandmother, Guiseppina (i.e. JoAn) Oh, well let them harrass her, mom. she's been dead for 6 years. Let them try to collect money from her. I think she'd be amused. I know I am. Do you have to be a special brand of stupid to work in the loan department of a college (Oooo I'm gonna get it for that, aren't i?)

You know it should be illegal to send out letters like this. "Dear Dana, the anniversary date is fast approaching," making it sound like a celebratation and then say, 'oh by the way, screw you, we're raising your health insurance to 710$/2 months. Well, now's the time to start shopping for insurance I guess. HARD to do when you're diabetic and female.

Oooo looks like a big storm is incoming and my muse better come back. She went bye bye last night.
