Computer help

I'm mostly looking at Penguin Boy and DL....I'm suddenly have strangeness with my computer which may be two unrelated things and one I fear might be viral that my system can't find.

Lately since I've switched back to dial - up whenever I'm working on line, even just answering emails, I can hear the computer tower churning like the hard drive is thinking hard about doing something and I don't recall that happening before (could be I wasn't paying it any mind) and I'm not sure why it would be drawing from the hard drive.

secondly and this could be just a mouse problem, but very suddenly this week, left click doesn't really want to work. It takes many tries. God forbid I want to highlight something. It'll automatically cut it if I'm in Word and if I'm on line say answering an LJ post or my email it'll just kick me back a few spaces after hesitating like it's stuck. I'm no where near the back button and suddenly I'm back three pages. I try to X-out one thing and the whole system goes down lke the button engaged several times (this is on line and not on line)

Suggestions?

Oh and since I'm a moron...I can't figure out how to label my nice new icon so I can tell everyone they can go look at the lovely stuff  at Due Uomini e una Gatta I managed to say so in the key notes but how do I actually honestly credit an icon?

a meaningless little post

To everyone but me. I finished that Connor as an artist story for Ragna's challenge with a few days left to clean it up. Time to dance around the house, not a sexy dance mind you, swathed as I am in flannel against the cold snap and me with no heat, but dance I shall.

Now to get my own WIP done in the next week. I've figured out a way to do it. Quit racking my brain to find the scenes I 'lost' and just cut to the chase and END IT!

no seriously. I'm working on my male reproduction lecture so feel free to ask all the questions you might have on it...go on, it can't be worse than what my students will ask. Today's hike go cut short by the duck hunters. Tomorrow's mile hike will go the OTHER way

Pictures - sorry they're not cut

I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. Every time I try to cut them I get an error and it doesn't work. SORRY.

Here's my new home that my friend is letting me stay in for a little while. The first two pictures are of the woods behind the house where I hike complete with a birch tree pecked to death by yellow belly sap suckers

 

Then some more woods, this is where I hike up the road when I'm on my mile-long excursions plus two shots of Spur Lake which is where the duck hunters scared the crap out of me today. Oh and all the green stuff in the lake? That's wild rice. I could harvest it now because the Indigenous tribes are done with the lake's harvest.

And now you know where I'm talking about when I talk about where I live. Oh and there'll be more pictures. I just didn't want this thing to get too huge
