Adding to the ennui
Oct. 7th, 2004 12:14 amI forgot to mention that when I came home my bedroom is covered in flies and lady bugs. It's the ONLY room in the house that is and Ihave no idea how they're getting in here with both sets of windows down. It's absolutely disgusting. I'm so revolted I'm probably going to sleep on the futon in the living room. I've never seen anything like this I've been killing them all night and they just keep coming. I hate this house and it hates me.
But there was on good thing I was thi nking of talking about, TV. One I decided to rent MASH dvd's, as an alternative to watching my lousy reception (another total reason to leave asap) Yeah I know every eppy by heart especially the early ones but I've been seeing htem in syndication all this time. I had forgotten just how much had been gutted. It's nice to seem them in total.
The other is Hawaii. Yeah, it's yet another cop show and the cops are fairly stereotypical but you know what I liked about it (outside of Michael B.) Is that it DOESN'T ignore the culture of the Islands. Two uniformed cops are obvious Hawaiians, many of the background characters are and more interestingly they actually use both the Polynesian and Japanese cultures a lot. You generally dont' see that. For me, it helps balance the otherwise formulaic show.
