Giles drabble

I was wondering why no one commented on my buffyverse 2005 drabble off of Ragna's challenge. Could it be because LJ ate it? Sigh. Here you go. The challenge was Giles & Tea
What Giles liked best about the weekend was he had time to do things up right. He didn’t have to rush tea in between dealing with sophomores looking for copies of MacBeth, which honestly didn’t happen all that often. Sunnydale’s library was woefully underutilized.

Saturdays meant he could brew up a pot of Typhoo and settle down with a good book to enjoy his tea along with beans on toast, the way things were meant to be. The bright red beans looked delectable on a slice of nicely toasted bread.

Giles turned on Pink Floyd, opened Tobin’ Spirit Guide and enjoyed teatime.

A change in luck

Of course I get the email to late to make the call today but the agent wants my novel! I'll have to wait until next week to talk to them. Cross your fingers for me that they turn out to be good and not suddenly ask me for dollars up front or book doctoring or something. I'm hoping for the best. That would be a great late Christmas/New Year's gift.
