First Day Back

Classes started today for my class. I kick it off with being late. I'm not sure HOW I got started so late. One moment it was like 10 after 10 but by the time I got to my car it was 20 til 11. Then I had to turn around 5 miles into the trip because I had forgotten stuff. LIke my air cast (I can't drive with it). Get there to find out that my class is over crowded and not everyone can sit. AND my class overlaps the advanced anatomy class by 15 minutes so I have to go into the lab to finish class EVERY TIME. There's no chalk boards,over head projectors or anything there. SCREAM. But so far so good, the students are talking to me, got a few that are maybe overly nice (keeping an eye on them). And things are just otherwise weird but I'll deal since I'm by my lonesome this time, my class is mine alone. I like that.

Foot and ankle hurt alot. This is the first time I've been up on it for this long. Well I was yesterday, caulking windows but I took breaks. Nothing like standing for three hours on a foot that I'm not even supposed to be weight bearing on.

Trying to get some writing done. Tossed my choices for the CYA ficathon to Leni. Kristi's been making me laugh with the scenes from one of her stories, got stuff to beta for ELD and Chris. Sadly I've been so tired from the medication I've not been much help. Going to go work in Kristi's suggestions for her birthday fic.

Oh and I gave Medium it's month. today was beyond retarded. It opens with her dressed as little red riding hood in an aiport being chased by a wolf and the end scene, the witness she helps goes to teh airport to leave the country because the guy who murdered her fiancee and tried to kill her is an undercover cop named wolf and she's wearing a red hooded cloak as a disguise (because no one would notice that) And the husband hits on her in a way that's not romantic. She's cold and cruel to the kids and she treats her boss like he's an idiot. And she has the nerve to be angry with the husband when she shows up at 11pm without telling him. I mean hello, has she never heard of a phone or are we to believe she honestly lost 12 hours in a day? Pbttt, I've got better things to do on a monday

Giles listens to the sounds of his fingers sliding on the guitar strings. He had forgotten how good it felt to have the subtle vibrations of the wood tucked along his belly could be, how freeing the music was. His voice was a little rusty but it didn’t take him long to remember the vocals, to find the chords of his former favorites.

A soft smile touches his lips as he remembers the days of romancing nubile young girls, telling them he was part of Pink Floyd. As he played, he remembered dreams that he had put away, mourning them.
