Now to whip ANY of the three novels into something that looks novel-like. But hey libraryofwinds is doing a massive writing-a-thon in February and nanomowhinging is planning one for March (or thereabouts) so I'll have time to write write write (since I do better with the pressure ON)

Heard in today's physiology class

So...I was discussing the 4 stages of sexual excitement and while the class was still reeling from the plateau phase, where I explained about the partially hidden clitoris as a hallmark of the stage, remarking that it seems to be fully hidden to far too many guys (thought some of them were going to fall under the desks gasping for air), i skip merrily along over stage 3 - orgasm to stage 4, 'men enter a refractory period.' for the non-scientists this means men have to rest before you can stimulate them again.

One young man said he didn't agree that with a little time that was possible and I replied that's the definition of a refractory period 'a litle time to rest.' then added, 'women do NOT have a refractory period. We can have multiple orgasms. We're LUCKY that way.

You just know someone's going to put that in an essay on the final, don't you?

Injury spam

Forgot to mention it's been a weird 24 hours. First off while washing dishes I found out I did something I never do...put the super sharp caphalon carving knife in the sink (I usually wipe it down immediately after use). I slit open my thumb under the bubbles. Owie

Then today I toss myself into one of the chairs with arms at work and catch the web of my hand between the arm and the key ring from hell in my pocket. Everyone was laughing at me...then realized I had cut my hand open.

Tonight, I finally got after that bad toe and yes, it's nicely infected. Poked that open with a scapel. Hopefully it'll heal now.
