So i have to be at the hospital today at 8AM for my Cushings' test. Basically you take a high dose of steriods at 11 pm and then several hours later draw blood to see what your body did with it.
well it made me a little ill (it does depress the immune system) so i wake up headachy and coughing up crap but i get there and the line is huge at the damn lab. So finally quarter after I get in and it's the same bitchy phlebotomist from last time. She yells at me for being late. I said I was HERE but your front desk took this long to process me. She said that i should have said something. Yeah, because really it's a first come first serve lab and I'm going to bypass the dozen people in front of me and push into the desk and say ME FIRST. She wouldn't draw the blood until I said the doc said it just had to be AROUND 8 AM. Gah, what by not drawing it how was that helping?
So i go to my office to download stuff. And from there I call my doctor to see when to pick up my x-rays for my back appt tomorrow...only they DONT have them. I tell them what the clinic told me about not being able to send them to Chillicothe and the new doctor without a release from him and my doctor's secretary said what I said. That makes NO sense. Either way, the clinic did NOT send the x-rays. So I call them up and bitch them out. They did get the name of the person invovled and since i live too far away (well I was done there but to hell with them, it was another 7 miles in the opposite direction to go back) so they're going to send them today to the hospital in Jackson. Watch them not be there tomorrow. Bah.
on a happy note, I got my Saiyuki playing cards today. LOVELY deck. I probably have 12 decks of playing cards in this house and not one I'd play with.
