so i called up the other place and canceled my interview. I asked some questions and while it's not tenure and it is renewable with no limits the pay was quoted in the 'low 40's' um I make nearly 45 base now and with overtime and summers close to 50K. My rent for a two bedroom here 450. I can't even touch a studio for under 650 there. I promised myself after I left my last studio that the next I lived in all one room, it'll be assisted living before I die. Despise studios. two bedrooms were over 1200. So I thought, non tenure, less money more than triple living expenses...yeah, that's smart.

The drive home it rained. It's supposed to pour tomorrow. It's graduation. I'm hoping for rain because our gym is too small so not to deprive family of seeing graduation, the faculty gets excused. whee.

So I stopped in Athens since I was thinking about tomatoes on the drive (the music sucked until I hit Marietta which sapped my creativity then the 70s/80's dance dance party started and so did my brain) and I said Lowes had heirloom plants. lets stop there since it's only a block past your favorite chinese restaurant. I did. Their plants...they should have been ASHAMED to sell those. I think they left them out in the frost. everything was yellow and scarred. I found one heirloom that wasn't German Queen some pink thing. I got a 50 cent save the world cypress too

As I was pulling out I saw the China Panda. It was chinese/japanese so said let's look. On the window was the menu, SCALLION PANCAKES. Do you know my love of these? And ever since I left Cleveland 15 years ago nowhere i've lived has had them. I went in. I saw something crispy eggplant with tofu/beef/chicken (tofu for me) but nothing japanese...then i flipped the menu. not only is is full chinese, it's full japanese. Oh. My. God. I got some sushi, that eggplant and my precious pancakes and promised I'll be back for the cold green tea soba noodles.

Got home. Roy sauntered in and ate. I thoght he might be limping but i was busy. While I was eating I saw him trying to get onto the chair but having so much trouble so I went to check him out. He's hurt. Damn it. He just healed up from last time. I'm not sure if it's dog wounds (don't look like cat) or he got bounced off a car because his one arm is furless. under his chest is all cut up. They look shallow and uninfected but naturally he doesn't want me to touch him. I'll have to keep an eye on him. He's walking too good for anything to be broken but still.
