Stopped at Wal-Mart today and they had no tomatoes left. Period. WTF? It's still early here for that. the Columbus paper said that high gas prices equally higher veggie prices has left greenhouses stripped to the bone with people trying to grow their own. I believe it.
Also disappointing was yesterday at the ceremony. Last year we had a preacher who didn't seem to grasp that the invocation/benediction are short (I suppose because he was graduating last year) and a businessman speaker who knew how to get to the point. This year it was flip flopped, a preacher who understood his short role and a politician who droned on forever, quoting people ad nauseum until we all lost his point.
But he did have one good point I thought i'd share. He is up there in years and he had this to say. We should be more excited by our dreams (regardless of our ages) than we are by our memories. I rather liked that
