so this is what Hell is like
Jun. 9th, 2008 11:24 amAccording to the weather channel we've been hotter than FLORIDA for days. It's been nealry triple digits and in Ohio, in June that's nearly unheard of. I hate this. You'll never hear me say 'i'm tired of Winter.' Summer yes, winter no.
I literally can't stand heat. It's physiology for me. Boating on Friday, I had to go lay under the canopy because the heat nearly made me puke. The heat-born dishydrotic eczema is back on my feet and fingers, which means as soon as it's hot, my skin goes into over drive and over produces skin which 'bubbles up' cracks and peels so the whole summer my hands hurt from this and I do NOT acclimate. Some of my southern friends told me in when i moved to Florida for a time that I would acclimate.
evil_little_dog and
silvrethorn will tell you how wrong they were.
I don't know what to do about my garden. I guess I'll be planting by moonlight and watering the living crap out of them. wish me luck
and oh

and I was thinking about getting Hughesnet to get rid of this dial up but a) it's very expensive B) if it sucks as much as satellite tv I'll be pissed c) i notice they don't mention the installation costs and other fees other than i'll get a 200$ rebate d) how long is the commitment and then they give us THIS disclaimer
Stated speeds are not guaranteed. Actual upload speed will likely be lower than speed indicated, during peak hours. Download speeds may also be temporarily slowed in cases when patterns of system usage exceed the download threshold for an extended period of time. All services are subject to the HughesNet Fair Access Policy. If you choose to run VPN over satellite, your data speeds may be reduced by as much as 50-75%. Despite the high speeds, time-sensitive applications, such as multi-player "twitch" games, are also not recommended over HughesNet.
Download Threshold is the volume of data that can be downloaded continuously before the Fair Access Policy may restrict the download speed.
Each email account has 2 GB of storage. The domain of your email addresses will be @Hughes.net. HughesNet email is compatible with any email client that supports Pop3 and SMTP protocols
I don't even KNOW what VPN is but if time sensitive downloads might not work then what the heck do I want you for?
