Even though I cranked out 2600 words this past week I don't feel good about my writing. It really isn't the rejection from Samhain. THAT I expected. I had already came to the conclusion that if I didn't think I could turn a story for them into a novel easily I wasn't tackling another of their challenges.

But I think it's the WORK that comes with revising a novella into something else that's bringing me down. Ditto those two short stories. I like writing. I don't care nearly as much for revision. I know it's part and parcel, that I have no choice but it doesn't get me excited. Of course it's work and that often equals no fun.

Anyone have good ways they handle doing the revision?

for one it was in the high 90's and everyone was miserable. It was so hot and humid i had to use my inhaler to breathe. I hate that. The heat rash that took 5 weeks to heal is back and all the skin is peeling off my hands and feet again. I'm not meant for this sort of heat

Then mom and I got into a fight in grandma's basement. there are tons of my books and comic books down there. She's screaming i TOLD you and I'm screaming mom if i KNEW why in the name of god would I have started emptying things out in the climate controlled second story and NOT the dank basement. this stuff was supposed to be ALL upstairs when I put it in storage. Glad to know it wasn't. I'm still furious about this.

Grandma is still being a bitch.I did haul out some stuff. Slammed my knee into the dash of the new car and I mean slammed. It exploded the varicose vein (which looked like the lincoln tunnel thanks to the heat) so my knee is filled with blood and hurts.

Later I skinned and bruised my shin on the Kubota tractor.

At least the cat got washed (he reeked from being sick). He is unpleased.

As am I. Bah.
