My building ended up closed for the whole day. Might be closed tomorrow due to poor planning and all around WTFery. So i gave my test. My other class didn't get the notice online to be in the other building. Canceled my meeting and was home by noon. Which is good since i need to get the plants ready to go to the greenhouse. It's going to frost tonight.

Okay I spoke to AT&T today about their DSL. Their download speeds are 1.5 for 35$, 3.0 for 40 and 6.0 for 45$. None of these have any limits on how much I can up/download. Verizon's wireless broadband is 60$ and has that 6 gig a month limit (I don't quite remember the speed)

Neighbor boy loves the Verizon

Coworker loves the AT&T (at the cheapest rate)

Thoughts? Suggestions? Been burned by either? Love them?

Jeez it's so much better when she DOESN'T have a day off. She's too damn chatty.

The freak cold front is getting freakier. (I wish it wasn't so damp. i love the cold, this miserable damp not so much so). Supposed to frost tonight so I've lugged all my plants except a few into the car. They'll go to the greenhouse tomorrow (provided that building is open...)

I called Golden West telecommunications today after they sent a check to Mom's addy. It was my telephone company when I did my residency on the Lakota rez's and VA's in South Dakota and it was a co-op. This is the days before the net. My phone bill was scary high. Apparently 15 years later I'm STILL getting my co-op pay-backs. WHEE. 150$ to spend at the Renn fest this weekend (hoping this cool and NO rain!)

Also it's stunning how many telemarketer calls i get all day. Seriously WHO calls at freaking 1 in the afternoon on a work day? One was my Honda dealer. Do they really think I'd be here?

I'm going to get some tea, grade an exam and watch my backlog of tv

ETA - I picked a peck of beans today before the frost got them. Anyone got some good bean recipes? Some of these are definitely going to be minestrone. Some reserved and dried for next year. It's a good producer. Pictures to follow in a day or two
