cats and dogs and gardens

My garden is utterly trashed. I didn't get out there to replace that shit weed mat/cheap walmart plastic because of my pneumonia this spring but want to do it this fall since nothign is stopping these weeds. It rained overnight and it was actually cool in the morning. I weeded a quarter of it, sawed down the tree that's growing into the wall that my landlord can't be arsed to do and got in the butterfly bush, a rose and a lily before the sweat stopped me.

Saw my landlord. asked again when was he coming. He FORGOT. Oh bullshit. He promised to come today and do it. He didn't. But in this conversation a puppy came up. He's taking care of it but it's yet ANOTHER animal left behind by renters running out on things. I'm looking into shelters.

Kanda has fleas now. Naturally. it's the weekend. GAH.

I thought I heard something crying in my bathroom. Remembered i blocked up under my porch. Wondered if the kittens were down there. Went out and unblocked it just in case. Probably baby mice squeaking for their dead mother...

Did a petfinder search for a maine coon cat. Found a polydactyl one. I've always wanted both of these things. But it's cincinatti. a long way to drive to find out if you click or not with a pet and it looks to be one of those shelters where it'll take visits before i'm approved...sigh.

Kanda is trying to eat my toes. The only thing he seems to want to play with. He's not very playful. he also doesn't get that when i'm walking around the house i don't need him tethered to my ankle
