belated birthdays and dreamscape

Happy Belated Birthday to marlex hope it was great.

I had many dreams and naturally only remember a snippet. evil_little_dog & mjules were with me and we were sightseeing somewhere. It was one of these after hours ghost hunting deals. For the life of me I can not remember where we were, just a lot of old greek revival buildings and bunches of eager ghost hunters.

At one building, I got delayed because I was having trouble walking (probably remembered pain from this week, my broken up ankles are playing up). Naturally my companions are kind and helpful to me, not. They run ahead and I can barely find them later.

They were outside the aviary of this compound. ELD and I want to go in but Jules is adamant she doesn't want to because they don't have her coveted Jade-breasted whatever (i couldn't hear it even in the dream). Well from the picture window I can see they have a whole table of kittens (in an aviary because this is smart). That sways everyone. Sadly all the kittens are orange. I do not care much for orange but there was one that had a head just like a corn cob pipe. Seriously it was a square terrier style head with coloring that made it look like corn. I wanted it but said I already had too many. ELD was having none of that. Someone was taking the freak kitty home. Jules was considering it when my migraine woke me up to go get sick. Whee life.

how to be an ass in one easy step

be me apparently. Gah. I felt like such an ass at work the last two days. Yesterday I really felt like I was wasting a McGraw hill sale's rep's time. I've known her a few years now and I was just so very frustrated at work that I ended up telling her we might drop them for our biggest class. okay that's not a problem. she SHOULD know that it might come if they don't have what we need. Shouldn't have done it on a conference call. SIgh. Idiot. I did email back an apology.

Then I learned. I'M the one holding up the website. special. Apologized for that too. Got refreshed on how to work Joomla and hopefully by the end of next week i'll have my shit together.

I wore my double squash blossom necklace today and thought one of my students might die from sheer delight and envy. She did ask to see it up close and take a picture for her Native American friend. It IS a beautiful piece.

We got together after work. 2 bottles of wine later, I come home to find out Soul and Kanda stole their medicine and hid it (found it in the closet)

my stomach has decided to forget nausea alone and burn like it's eating it's way out of my abdomen. Wonders how sucky life might be without a stomach...

I considered just going to Columbus/Huntington/Athens tomorrow but let's see if i do more than go do laundry.
