OMG, Mom calls me this A.M. and says the two of us are idiots. Um me and you or you and dad? Apparently I'm included in this idiocy and rightfully so.

Mom, wondering why in the holy hell HAPS would set a conference you practically needs sherpas and mermaids to get to, went back to the website. the expensive float plane, the ferry from Seattle is if you want to be ADVENTURESOME. WTF.

If you scroll down the info, they do say you can fly direct to Victoria. Mom, are you sure. I KNOW they told us in Denver about the float plane and ferry because I was a little distressed by them (I'm probably too fat for a little float plane and ferrys make me puke)

And it's cheaper to fly to that island than it is to Vancouver itself. WTF?



And my right knee is killing me. Why? The only thing I can think of is barometric pressure changes. I've had multiple surgeries on this knee and arthritis badly but it wasn't hurting until about midnight then kept me up all night.

Geraldine Ferraro and Diane Wynn Jones both died (and right on the heels of Elizabeth Taylor too)

I admired Ferraro so much when I was a young girl. She was too ahead of her time (sad to think that in 81 we couldn't even concieve of a woman running this country).

And I will really really miss Diane's stories. I adore Howl more than I can say. When I finished House of Many Ways in which Howl and Sophie were secondary characters she said she was going to write another story where they were central again. One article I read said she did have another novel or two finished so maybe I'll get a chance to visit with them again. You'll be sorely missed Ms Wynn Jones.

While I was up washing the clothes the local weather kept saying it was going to snow up to 3 inches tonight/tomorrow so I just went straight to the grocery store. Ah Spring, nearly 80 last saturday, this saturday it's trying to snow.

At Krogers I spotted something I never thought I would. I've only seen these products in Think Geek. They had J&D's Bacon popcorn. I had to have it (don't hate me). I know no good could come of it but I just had to have it. Mostly the bacon salt stuck to the packaging. Note to self shake harder.

I think Kanda has SAD. I swear. Once winter rolled around he became an old man. I thought maybe it had to do with Soul coming in the house. All Kanda did was lie around. No more jumping off the walls. No more coming in the tub. But now that it temporarily warmed up he's doing all those things again.
