writerly ways

Obviously I missed last week’s writerly ways because I was driving back home but it would have been pointless anyhow. I did very little over spring break . I did get a couple sample magazines from Writers magazine, including a ‘get published’ hand book. I thought I’d share this from them

Cool, I see successes out there. Good for you guys. Anyone else in the doghouse howling at the moon over failures? I am. Sadly, I've had to up my insulin and as soon as I do, I gain. Just 2 pounds but still. Sigh.

Exercise still a no go. I can't even find a safe place to walk. I might just have to go to Jackson and park on the street and walk. It's the only place with sidewalks but it's unwieldly to have to drive 25 miles round trip to walk.

A lot of weight loss experts agree that starving yourself is not a safe or healthy way to lose weight. They suggest having healthy snacks throughout the day. It's not easy to thing to find healthy snacks but you can make them. This recipe is so easy even the non-cooks can manage it provided they own a baking sheet. Edamame are very healthy beans (and most grocers carry them now). Supposedly it contains all 9 essential amino acids, fiber, Vitamin C and folic acid. Give this snack a try (do be sure not to burn it)

NOTE: You can mix up any sort of spice mix you fancy. Mostly this is here for cooking temps and times. I do use a bit more olive oil. It's a good fat after all.

I'm one big ouch

I think my fibromyalgia is acting up. I have hot spots all along my ribs. Mom had just seen something about tai chi helping and yes, that's what I used to do all the time tai chi and yoga. I couldn't find my tai chi dvd and I'm pretty sure I bought one. I did a little yoga. my shoulder hurts. I want a second opinion. I think this muscle is all kinds of messed up. It feels like it's knotted up so much i can't rest back on it. If I had the narcotics that PA wanted to give me, I'd take them today.

the three inches of snow was a dusting. I'd still rather brush off snow than deal with all the misery that spring brings. All last week My eyes have been so swollen I can hardly see, my skin wants removed with a cheese grater it itches so much and my voice, well we've gone over this right? Kanda is faring no better. He keeps having asthma attacks and has all those icky patches in his fur and tonight he ate the bubbles out of my bath. Idiot.

We're finally up to FMA:B episodes I hadnt' seen and bah, Ed and Al acted like idiots in this. But really, as if Mary Sue Mei Chan wasn't bad enough on her own, the VA is like fingernails on a chalkboard.

I didn't get nearly enough writing done. I did go out cruising with the camera, trying to find the welsh cemetery. I need better directions than follow the welsh sign. Either that or more bravery. When I heard the dueling banjos I turned around. I did get the picture of the day.

Hopes to write more tonight but for some reason the last 4 days my sugar has been blowing the top of my head off. Damn it's high.
