How to be a bad pet mom in one simple move

I must have been more tired than I thought last night. I said to myself feed the cats after you brush your teeth.

Yeah I didn't. I slept hard, not even waking up once and then got up to find they had nothing. Not a smidge of food. The water bowl was bone dry. OOOPS. Sorry boys.

and then I had a dream. This will teach me to read about ossuaries and rahirah's dream. ( I don't remember all of it )

ETA - well THAT was weird. There was a tiny bit of ice on my step but the sidewalk was dry and clear. I get my laundry out to the parking lot only to find all the cars covered in ice and so was the gravel. Ever try walking on iced over gravel. You'd think it would give you more grit but you'd be wrong.

Now usually I park closer to my building but that's the low lying area and when it rains it puddles there. Last ice storm my car was literally iced to the ground as a result. This time I parked away from my building. I'm sure I could have drive off of here no problem and it's relatively warm today (tomorrow's supposed to be 50 again) and I'm sure the roads were fine but I couldn't drag my laundry over the icy gravel. Guess laundry will wait.

weight off

I'm finally getting around to getting out the winter clothes (you know in time to go put them back away). I really need another book case to get those damn manga off the hope chest. That's what takes me the longest. Anyhow, while i'm taking a break (and wondering why the reynaud's is acting up in my toes when it isn't cold in here) I figured I'd type this up.

so...weight loss...Zero.

How totally expected.

I did take Weight Watchers up on a free issue of their zine and ditto the American Diabetic Association.

I also found this article on weight loss . WHat I found interesting in what is rather a retred of old ideas why a new success story is the idea of planning your meals. I do this but only sporadically. I know I do better when I do it. My pocketbook sometimes even prefers it (not always since cooking diabetic friendly meals is insanely costly) since I don't meander around aimlessly impulse buying things to eat.

What makes me angriest about the whole planning the meal thing, is getting the food home, getting lazy and then the food going to waste or being put into my pantry for life. THis is the longest I've lived anywhere since I was in medical school. Prior to this I didn't have time to let food sit in my pantry for years. It's a bad habit that I hope to break in 2012.

I don't know the calorie count on this soup (way to fail foodnetwork) but it doesn't contain anything overly fattening. The one thing I love about this time of year is the soup.

productive day

I got the winter clothes out (why this manages to take all day I do not know). I sorted out a mass of manga that were ones I bought only one or two and gave up. I've done this before but I really DO need to get these the hell out of here. I don't have room.

I edited my picfor1000 story, wrote some original fic, failed to write any of my Help stories, worked on big bang, edited most of my lecture and managed to feel remarkably good for most of the day (minus the itchies from my dust allergies).

Now suddenly I'm horribly nauseated. Stomach you are not my friend. Gah.

It occurs to me I should have done the writerly ways today not the weight off. oh well.

But I do have good news. Two Tickets to Paradise, the next anthology I'm in. check out the release date
