Today was hospital day. Since I was having my MRI in Gallipolis (their MRI is permanent and not on a truck like in Jackson and trust me that makes a difference) I had my diabetes blood work switched to down there. Met about a dozen people I knew, including three former students. I didn't know the Phleb but I warned her 'my veins are deep and they collapse.' She nods, gets the butterfly needle and finds a vein. 'it's in a weird spot but it'll work.' Two seconds later I feel it go boom and she frowns. "That's going to bruise.' I warned you....it bruised but she wrapped it hard with a compression bandage trying to minimize it.
I trundle next door to the MRI and because it's such a weird view he wants and extensive they MUMMIFY me in these heavy duty padded doo-dads to keep my arms from moving. They hand me the panic button and slap some classical music on my ears (badly but I can't FIX it because i can't move) and slide me into the sarcophagus and I'm there for an hour. Thank god I do not panic because i'm touching the top of this thing with my hand and I'm shocked I don't have forehead burn from being slid into a space that narrow. And because they needed so many slices this bad boy is getting hotter and hotter. I'm pretty sure it's not magentic waves but microwaves they're hitting me with from the feel of it and then my hand holding the cord for the earphones/walkie talkie off my neck and the panic button is killing me because the mummification caused brachial nerve compression and my arm is dead asleep from the elbow down. And my back muscles are going WAAAAAH.
The cool thing is they've moved up in the tech world. I got my MRI on disc in five minutes. Naturally i looked at it. Keeping in mind that I am far more expert in foot/ankle anatomy, I know enough to recognize increased signals and I'm going to be waiting til next thrusday with one thought in my head: don't let this be as BAD as I think it is. My whole deltoid/biceps area is lit up like a christmas tree. There's increased signal in the tendon for the pec and the weird one is the increased lightning bolt zig zag of increased signal over my scapula right where I've been saying for over a year it feels like someone cut open my back and shoved a water balloon in there. This doesn't necessarily mean that anything is torn or tumorous but it does mean there is inflamation.
Came home weeded and put in a rose that looked fine yesterday but today looks half dead. It's still raining. SIgh. And now the neighbors are acting up again. You know what if you don't want me to think you're up to something, DON'T stop talking and stare at me when I come outside, fucktards. If you start harassing me, I won't hesistate to let the cops deal with you.
