I'm very disappointed in myself.
Aug. 20th, 2012 09:54 pmTHere was a major fuck up at work and I STILL don't know how it happened. THe wrong book was ordered for the class. My name is on the order form. I KNOW that me and L. got the right ISBN. We called the goddamn company. The handwriting on the form listing the book as essentials is NOT mine or hers. We've NEVER ordered that book for this class. The head of the bookstore interupted my summer class to go over this and somehow it got messed up. Some students opened it. they might not be able to return it. For them that's a 200$ mistake. I had to call twice to get them to STOP SELLING the damn thing. Now we have no book. There has to be a better system. Frankly it should all be electronic and no goddamn middle man which is where this went wrong. I couldn't even read the word essentials on the form it was so badly done.
On the upside, I apparently pissed off/terrified a student so bad, he dropped within an hour of meeting me. Hello, this is a mandatory class for all the majors that take it.
In good news, my eyes are fine outside of irritation from allergies. He gave me another drop but with my severe myopia and diabetes retinal tears and retinopathy are a real risk so I worry about going blind. I'm relieved for another year.
Coming home, I got tired and at dinner, I didn't feel like eating much, picked at my spaghetti and salad. Three hours later, the diabetes reared up in the form of gastric paresis, where in my stomach doesn't move then it tries to escape my body violently because all the sitting food makes me sick. So now I don't even have what little I ate left in me, I'm still sweating from the event and I scared Kanda doing it.
I wasn't sure what to make of Copper. Did anyone else watch it? It might get too soap operay for me.
I found these two things interesting. underwater art
uncovered ghost towns
Photo a day prompt 'today'

My overgrown, omg CUT US BACK garden as it looks today (i.e. the butterfly bush that ate SE Ohio)
Trying to finish my story tonight. I still feel sick, disappointed and mad and now my throat and sinuses hurt from throwing up. I have a three hour lecture tomorrow and I just burnt the fuck out of my vocal cords And my foot still hurts. bah.
