Another few weeks and no real writerly ways. There isn’t going to be one in any substantive form this week either, not with everything I have hanging over my head. It’s mostly a drive by with a reminder to self that maybe one day soon, I’ll talk about good books with horrible endings.

I made progress, editing both Splinters and Until the Ice Breaks. I got half way through Machiavelli Moon’s chapter five but no further. At least there has been progress. This was the year of the editing but it’s not really turning out that way, just like all the other years before it.

Speaking of which, would anyone like to read the first chapter or so of a fantasy story named Ties that Bindby myself and

evil_little_dog? We’ve rewritten the first chapter several times, never to our satisfaction and one outside reader had a very negative reaction, one that I personally felt was way out of proportion, but arguably I’m too close to the subject matter. It doesn’t necessarily need an edit but rather more, is this confusion? Does it draw you in? and any other suggestions you might like to make, thanks.

Yearly word count –

Holiday story (that needs to be done by next week) it has to be between 5-15K (also I would need a very fast beta for this and if you want to see the first half now, ask).-

I seriously can't. I was welded to this chair again today. If one more person tells me 'must be nice to have a do-nothing job' (based on the fact we only meet like 15 hours a week face to face with students) I might deck them.

I'm not into it at this point, waking up in the middle of the night thinking about Soul, knowing that probably within a week he'll be gone, thinking about the two doctors' appts tomorrow and tuesday and knowing there won't be good news (and thinking i might ask the one on tuesday to send me for x-ray. THe good news is the wounded toe is healing beautifully, the bad news is shoes kill, i might need a wooden one for a while).

I also learned that my cousin's husband in dying. (my parents' age). He had a massive heart attack years ago and less than 50% of his heart is function. THat part is now giving out. It's only a matter of time. He might have a few years left or he could be gone tomorrow.

In happier news, my school has some new and exciting things going on. At least it makes me want to be part of it.

I'm looking for clothes and new bras at Roaman's bogo sale. I need a pretty bra. Mom made a comment about one of my pictures wondering why i wasn't wearing one out and I'm like, I AM, and realizing the soft sided no underwire wasn't my best bet with that particular shirt. Now that I have resigned myself to being here, I might as well date if that's possible (so far no), would be nice to have something I look good in. Speaking of clothing, I found the perfect dress at a totally imperfect price. figures.

Mom always yells at me that I have too many cds (i have hundreds) and I couldn't listen to them. Well i haven't listened to my rock or country in forever (I listen more to classical and jazz) so I've been playing them yesterday and today and i can't even remember what song I bought them for. I think some of these were I liked the artist previously and bought it the day it came out and regretted it. I've found 2 empty cd cases. wtf?

I'm recording Copper. It looks dark but interesting. I hope i like it. Also WTF happened last night? Is Deadman Wonderland over already? It doesn't seem likely. Did Miss something? It couldnt' have been pulled for content not with the vulgar foul mouthed live action comedies they have.

my foot is killing me because i had it down all day. Sigh.
