Celebrate with me

When I went to write one of my origfic_bingo prompts, trying to finish out my very first nano novel from 2004, Until the Ice Breaks, I realized I had two forgotten segments. Putting those together with the seventy-six words I had to finish out the prompt, the novel is DONE!

Strike one thing off my 2013 to do list. Technically I almost finished this last year and I kept thinking it seems like I should have finished it but no.

It's a YA fantasy novel that my writers group is currently looking at but if anyone is interested in looking at it, I'm in the middle of the first rewrite now.

I got to get together for a late Christmas with my BFF from college (and how dumb do I feel typing BFF?) Learned that a long-lasting local Italian restaurant put in an offshoot into the food court so instead of Red Robin (which was packed) I got gnocci in vodka sauce which were pretty good. The visit was a little marred by some family issues (hers, not mine) but I did get to see the kids. I hadn't seen my "niece & nephew" in a year since I was too busy this summer with the Wales trip and work starting so early.

I did find a cute shirt at Macy's (different than yesterday's). This is the old big mall. It was the shit back in the 70's. I loved going to it. It had two, two-story bird cages with exotics like peacocks. I couldn't get enough of them as a kid.

I'm glad we got the day together. I never get to see her and family enough. they're one of the reasons I'd like to move back this way (besides all my family being here and well Pittsburgh is a cool city).

Time to get editing my vampire short story.
