When I nearly died. This is not me being dramatic. I knew I had eaten something stupid at the Chinese restaurant. My sugar was over 300. Okay fine, nothing new for me. I did NOT take any extra insulin since I got home so late. I dislike doing that. So I repeat I did what I do every night. I woke up at 430AM feeling nauseous but I had been nauseous all night so I didn't think anything of it. I went back to bed but couldn't fall asleep. I felt SO weird. I finally got back out of bed at 5 and took my sugar. It was 31. That' less than HALF of the lowest acceptable number. I'm lucky to have awoken at all. And this happened in just 3 hours. SO I got up, eat some sugar, ate some protein, had a little cider went back to sleep for another 3 hours and got up and my sugar was 300 again.
I told this to the endocrinologist since ironically I was meeting with him today. I got Big Eyes from him. Yeah, great, scare the doctor. We're changing my insulins around but that new insulin did shit. It didn't affect my HGA1C at all. I'll repeat that too. I added a THIRD insulin and my body said fuck you, I'm still going to be 100% resistant to it. I gained weight though so there's that. Head desk. At least my kidney function was excellent (always a worry with DM).
I FINALLY got my edits today. I didn't know you could get that many comments onto one page using track changes in Word. Whimpers.
Conversations with Mother
Mom -I hear you're coming home for Thanksgiving
....(did my brother say something?) Me - who said that.
Mom - Me. You don't get off until late December. You can come home.
Me - I don't want to
Mom -yes you do.
Me - I'll be grading.
Mom - you're coming.
We wander onto other topics. I'm trying to explain something to her and she goes - '10 minutes to Grimm. Bye!' Dial tone. Mom? well great.

By the time he was on the train and half way to the station, Placid realized he had somehow lost his mind in that jewelry shop. What was he thinking? They had just rekindled their romance. He couldn’t ask Mel to marry him even though he had planned on it since they were ten and she had kicked him in the balls and made him eat dirt. He didn’t even want to know what that said about him.
Of course it would take months if not a full year to pay off the ring. It wasn’t like he was going to give it to her tonight. By then, it wouldn’t be premature. Either she’d be ready to say yes or they would be over and done and he’d just go get his layaway money back, minus the exorbitant percentage he had agreed to. As he stumbled into the station, Placid felt shell-shocked by his impulsive foolishness. He could not let Killmeknow even get a hint of it. Sobering case or not, the senior detective would make time to rake Placid over the coals.
declutter day 169 item tossed -Grey polyester dress why kept-Bought it because I needed a ‘colonial’ looking dress for Terror Town and it was cheaper than a costume why tossed- It’s HORRIBLE. So cheap. I would have gotten more use out of the costume
