Finally, an easy one. Without a doubt Star Trek was the most influential. I was born during season 2. It was in syndication for all my young life and I related very heavily to Spock and I loved him and Sulu (I still love Leonard Nimoy and George Takei). It was a beautiful view of the future. Men and women, regardless of skin color, worked together in as much equality as Roddenberry could finagle from the producers in the 60s.

Yes much of it was a statement about the times, yes much of it was hokey but in its two years it had such a fan base that they managed to beg a third season. I have been in love with it all my life.

I was an overly brainy geek in h.s. back in the early 80s. Nobody gave a damn about bullying then. To say I was a daily target is understating it. It was bad enough that I wasn't sure I wanted to live and face another day of it.

At that time, I would think 'what would Kirk and Spock do' and it got me through. Silly but true.

In medical school, I played a by-mail RPG APA for Star Trek and had a ball. I'm still friends with some of them.

Nowadays at a time when dystopias are the hot thing, I STILL prefer the egalatarian, hopeful view Roddenberry gave us in his creation. I still watch the shows. I still collect its geek stuff. I follow many of the stars on FB and twitter (Leonard Nimoy has friended me there and I'm still all geeky about it).

Want to make me happy? Give me Star Trek.
