Survived my first day

It was rough. Really rough. With this new schedule, I'm on my feet and talking for five straight hours, no breaks, no lunch, no nothing. And god help you if you have to pee as there is only one faculty toilet. My voice is rough. My arm was aching like an abcessed tooth. I fell asleep drinking tea when I came home and spilled it on me. It's rough being back after three months but it is nice to have money (I might be off 3 months but I'm also NOT paid for those months either for obvious reasons).

The students are unhappy because of this new block schedule. I have a few who have to record one class because they can't be there because of the overlap it caused. But i'm hopeful because I know a handful of these guys are actually quite bright. Maybe it'll help with the suck.

My books didn't get ordered. AGAIN! Neither did it happen for another biologist and one chemist. (that I know of). The guy has ONE job and he screws it up every damn semester. bangs head. One of the books is one I'm not using the online component so screw him. Go buy it on Amazon.

And we started the semester with a fight in my department. Huzzah.

And for extra added fun my period chose today to make it's reappearance after being gone for 6 weeks (thanks for nothing, useless uterus).

Kanda has returned to the brown chair so I guess I'm forgiven.
