generalized fears
Sep. 15th, 2014 10:00 pmMy shoulder is getting worse not better. I did shoot my brother an email. I can handle the pain. I expected that but I should not be losing range of motion. Sigh.
Here's boo-boo arm with the yellow highlighting areas of pain for my brother.

But the big fear I've been having lately is about my stomach. It's getting progressively worse. It's not helped by a co worker talking about having to go visit his wife's cousin who is also diabetic and is where I've seen other diabetics go. She's dying. Her GI track has stopped working entirely. I know that sooner rather than later I might have to get botox injections into my stomach and then a pacemaker. This woman is on a feeding tube. I had patients like that.
I fear ending up like that. It's already begun. I'm now having trouble not only with raw veggies but cooked ones can make me sick. Some days water makes me sick. I keep trying to eat as much 'tough' food as I can to challenge it and make it work harder. I've noticed that if I give it too many soft things it struggles. So naturally I have a semester where i have to drink lunch. bah.
And there is just a lot of WTF online right now. (Not even going to link up to Sarah Palin saying she owes the world an apology for keeping McCain from winning and her family being in a bar brawl more or less because really...)
How about this from Urban Outfitters. 1970s vintage Kent state sweat shirt complete with blood splatter and bullet holes Really they didn't 'mean for it to be taken this way and that's not blood and bullet holes.' Really? Seriously? What else would make this 130$ sweat shirt 'vintage.' Idiots.
And fresh from the UK via Las Vegas heterosexuals can spend nearly 4 grand to marry cardboard cut outs but it’s gay marriage that’s ‘ruining’ marriage Seriously, she married her Edward Cullen standee. And you look at her and think wow, what has to be wrong with her?
And then there's this book birth control robs God of priesthood children In a way I almost feel sorry for her because I know how hurt I'd be if I got reviews like this on something I put my heart into. On the other hand, wow, is she out there. I particularly loved the 'computer dictators' keep changing the wording in her book (not the price on this baby). And look, she's from Arizona. With all due respect to my many AZ friends, what is it with the special snowflakes you've got? Is it the heat? It's a magnet for weird? (at least when Florida's many whackjobs crop up I can quote the X-Files line 'All the nuts rolls downhill to Florida.'
And on the other side we have the good. This rather amazing “make-up” tutorial calling out the moron commenters defending Ray Rice
And Pentatonix, a group I really enjoy, did a cover of one of my favorite Johnny Cash songs. Here.
