They all fall down go boom

I was feeling all cocky because I got a parking place in front of the Dynasty for dinner and even more improbable I got one right in front of the Donkey coffee house. There was even one at home a wee bit out but still good...and then my ankle gave out on the walk to the house. I fell over NOTHING. This is the third time in a week and a half. Last week I thought it was my clogs since it's a slight heel but tonight it was my cross trainers. It IS my weak ankle every time. I shattered it as a kid and they didn't rehab ankles back then. But this time was bad. I nearly ended up in the gravel. I pulled my shoulder (the 'good' one which isn't good either) and my ankle is purple and swollen. It has an ice pack but man i wish I had a foot stool.

Speaking of shoulders, mine is improving in pain and strength. Most of the bad pain is gone and I've moved up to a tougher theraband. BUT my range of motion still blows. I DO need to talk to my surgeon (in two weeks) and tell him I can do it when I hold the cane but on my own i can't get my arm to go back. That's disturbing.

And once again to prove what I can do without internet distraction, I wrote nearly 5K today. Killing Ayako took little time but the aftermath, oh yes, it is full of angst...and now I'm going to have too much story before Luc gets it and not enough after his change. Huzzah. I suck.

I am vaguely upset with the dynasty though. (Points up to the beginning of the post). It's frequented by very few Caucasians and by a huge chunk of OU's Asian students. Well I went online tonight trying to decide what I wanted to eat...and there is a whole menu of yummies that they do not offer in house and it's adventurous stuff. I'm wondering if they think Americans wouldn't want it. I don't think I can get across I would like to see that menu when I get there (let's just say English is very much a second language). Wonders what would happen if I called it in?

I am not allowed to go to authors fairs any more

Because I am incapable of looking them in the eye and NOT buying a damn book. My library held a local authors fair (is annoyed I wasn't asked. Come on, lemme sell my gay erotic urban fantasy dammit) I went. I resisted almost no one. The old ladies selling the 'joy of childbirth' tried to rope me in as did the old guy selling 'older couples adoption.' I did manage to say no. I didn't buy the urban fantasy one either but I talked to her then felt like an ass for NOT buying the book. I did tell her I liked book #1 which the library had. It was ok but no way was I buying book #2 in hard cover.

I DID buy some romance/detective/uber Christian thing for my aunt (it's exactly her thing) and some romance anthology and had both signed to her. And I did buy some urban fantasy dystopia from a guy with neurofibromatosis and is deaf (and neuromuscularly impaired) by it. It at least looks interesting. 40 dollars later....

I go to the Japanese steak house which I was told was sooooo good. Why are they so expensive? It's the same damn beef, chicken, tofu and veggies as the Chinese restaurants. I about fainted. I have NO idea how this place will survive in Jackson (but it was packed) at 25$ a plate if you get the chef doing the knife showing off hibachi grill stuff. I got a noodle plate and the over priced sushi sampler. Here's the thing, the fish was all so mild it was nearly tasteless which is okay. I'm not huge into fish. I was rather hoping they'd give me something more adventuresome. Maybe next time I'll just go for the sushi rolls. It was good food mind you but 4 pieces of sushi and a freaking bowl of Singapore noodles cost me 19$.

Now I'm wondering if the whole Stewart living with Mrs. Wolowitcz was because the actress was too sick to do her voice overs. I am sorry to hear she passed on. I do wonder what happens next on TBBT. Will they write her out? Kill her off? Recast her? And if it keeps being as boring as it has been all season will I care?
