I celebrated it by packing to Animazement and I finally spent the Christmas gift card

silvrethorn gave me for Think Geek and put it toward the overpriced Time Turner (plated with 24K gold...I'm allergic to gold. this should be fun). They had a Vader/Stormtrooper shawl on sale. Got that too.

I mean it's going to be a geeky expensive Memorial Day so why not get started early.

I love that Google Maps and Mapquest vary by a half hour of how long this will take and oddly google maps wouldn't give details. Yes I have GPS but I like writing it down too! I remembered at the last minute that it's a toll road in parts of WV and so I have a change purse heavy even to crush a skull. This is me all over. I overthink every trip. I have three shoes (well I needed them, steampunk boots, Madam Chris's loafers and then sandals) plus the ones I'm wearing, wigs, hats, skirts, shorts, jeans, two dress shirts in case we go out and for some reason I'm NOT wearing my cosplay. Two t-shirts just in case, extra bra and panties, just in case.

Maybe I'm better when I have to pack for a plane and I can't bring EVERYTHING. I have two tablets, one phone a lap top....camera. God knows what else.

What I DON'T have is my paypal reader and I blame paypal AND myself. From their website you can't tell that you can only input the credit card by hand. I was counting on that. No you can only do that if you do their 30$/month business pro. Fuck that. But I waited til the last minute. Waited three hours to get the confirmation code (this was before I knew that and STILL have never gotten). Called them and found this out. They agreed that it's NOT clear on the website and were going to send me a feedback form (they didn't) and I could have bought this at Staples. Argh. I could have done that yesterday but that's 40 miles away. Maybe if I see one on the way down there or if I could use another person's...which I hinted at but no one offered. (and I have yet to hear back from the organizer who is moving which is why I didn't want to bunk with her and the others. FOUR guests in a new apartment you're not even moved into yet? Nope, I'll pay 300$ for my privacy. I'll join you for drinks then go home...

So it might be cash only with me. Sigh. Live and learn and Learn NOT to procrastinate you putz.

Also explain to me why at Christmas I moved all the pictures off my memory card onto to the hard drive (which I usually do before going home) but did NOT then erase them from said memory card. I spent like a half hour trying to figure out where I needed to start moving so I could clear the card.

I hate the ringtones that come with my new phone. I tried to find some online (this isn't as easy as you'd think with a tracfone) It's an LG Rebel but it doesn't even come up when you google it, just some random LG ones which mostly suck. I'll deal with that when I come home (because if I fuck the phone up then I can deal with it but not now)

My new tablet will lock itself within 30 seconds of you not touching it. When I come home I need to see if I can a) change that b) remove the password because it's a pain in the ass to put that in every time I take my eyes off the tablet.

And just as I'm ready to leave this happens in my town: Dead body found in the weeds Wow.

Okay hopefully I can either a) get online while there or b) someone jams my dragons into one of those sites (thanks if you do) so they hatch.

I'll be gone til Sunday. I might have time to post. If not, well at this point it feels weird knowing there's nearly no one around any more to even notice. Sigh. Sad. Time moves on.
