So I went to the library
Sep. 27th, 2016 11:57 pmto get them to commit to a time for my talk at the Bodies exhibit because my emails haven't been getting through. Their reaction was 'who are you?' and 'can't we call you tomorrow?' Glad I made the 30 mile round trip for that ( I did call yesterday to set this up so it's not like I dropped out of the blue but I'm betting the person I spoke to didn't tell them.
I did go into the library's Body exhibit. It was very professionally done, as good as any I've seen in the past. I'm SO excited to take the students there but it was heavy on exercise and orthopedics so I wonder if they still want a talk on diabetes.
I stayed late today as well because it was the faculty recital. Our president (pianist) and assistant provost (opera singer) teamed up and that was good. the guitarist who played three pieces was excellent, the head of our choir teamed up with someone to do a clarinet concerto but I didn't much care for her singing (well the selection) and the other choir director's stuff. Afterward we all went to the president's house for wine and appetizers
