Something good for a change
Oct. 4th, 2016 12:08 amBut not my dreams. They were weird. Wish I could remember them.
Remember me talking about the rich local family who wanted to donate to the school just a little? And I said our students did well? So well that they went five times over their promised amount (must be nice to be able to donate more than my entire yearly income...) so that is SO cool and I'm very proud of my students.
I still have accomplished no house cleaning what so ever. It's really bothering me. I just come home and do nothing. THis can't continue. I had a plan to be better today but having to be at the office to nearly five to get the above news thru a wrench into it.
DId I mention I signed up for Viz's newsletter? Like I need more manga blasted in front of my eyes. I did it and there are benefits. There are chapter previews so that's rather nice. I just looked at The Promised Neverland which had a twist I wasn't expecting. It looks like something I should hunt down.
On the other side of the money, the Bodies exhibit's true cost just came out and it's...a bit staggering. Almost a quarter of million dollars. While it's super cool to have it (we're the first library ever to have it) I can't escape the idea that money could have been put to better library use.
And I'm missing something. It probably died in the great flash drive death last Christmas. I wrote TWO little ficlets with Tenaldi and the poison garden. I have one where he finds the young man (who desperately needs renamed) in the cave but NOT the one where I describe him in his garden. Any of you remember what the hell I wrote it for? I looked in both this journal and Jana's over the holiday season but can only find passage grave.
