Nov. 6th, 2017 05:11 pmI'm about to reach it. First I'm awake far too early thanks to stress and daylight savings time. Then Frontier, the new internet company I'm going to calls and says we'll be there at 10. Oh the fuck no you're not. You're here TOMORROW at 1-5. 'we can't do that.' THAT is when you were scheduled. 'Are you sure you can't do it today.' NO I WORK. I KNEW YOU'D SCREW THIS UP. 'okay tomorrow at 10. You can do 10 right.' 1-5 THAT is the schedule. 'Are YOU SURE you can't do today.' Okay I can be there from 3-5. 'Okay we'll be there tomorrow at one.'
Who wants to bet these fuckers don't come.
I get to work an no one unlocked the classroom door (and since it's not my building i don't have a key) we have to wait on the cops to come unlock it. Just for me to deal with a bunch of students losing their minds (i.e. we've done jackshit all semester, they realize the last day to drop was last friday and they are fucked).
then I was approached by the head of my union to take over negoiations and the faculty governance because I'm proactive AND angry (oh if you knew HOW angry I am, you wouldn't ask). Luckily I'm in lab when this all happens.
