So She had a point

That's what the chair said. I shouldn't have brought up the secretary's utter failure to realize I had a class of 50 that we almost had no room for this semester. I didn't bring it up. I ASKED if we had the room for them this time. I pointed out a) there's a nice way to say okay it's in the past , let it go and b) the secretary BLAMED me for the snafu in the first place.

So apparently it's all my fault. I'm disappointed. I expected her to stand up for me a little. I mean in what workplace is it acceptable to say 'we're all sick of you?' Apparently mine. What makes it all worse, these people are supposed to be my friends. I've been in the secretary's house, I've stayed with her mother, been in her niece's wedding in the background helping so the family could enjoy it.

I can give the chair a bit of a pass on it. She's exhausted. She had to pick up classes at a branch school. She's run ragged and doesn't want to deal with this. I just didn't expect her to leave me hanging out there. I mean I go everywhere with her and her wife. She's even encouraged me to go on the all lesbian cruises they go on (yes she knows I'm not but she figures I'd have fun just the same). L of course didn't give a crap as it didn't involve her (yet expected me to listen to her for over an hour about a similar incident with the same secretary.

And our levy failed so no more money for the school. I looked at the job boards. Nothing. less than 10 jobs in the NATION for what I do. I don't know what I'll do if the school fails.

Continuing the bad news train, the local politicians back home tried to sneak a rider in to allow the dumping of radioactive waste in my parents back yard, less than 5 miles from the house. They didn't announce a vote on it, tried to say they put out a notice and no one showed up. Christ if that goes through, I won't even have a home to go back to and all our land will be worth fuck all.
