It started around lunch when I was getting ready for work (I work afternoons T/Th this semester) and thought wow my neighbor's shih tzu is losing his crap with all the barking. As I leave it's not him. No, his owner was running around with a small crate filled with five large-ish puppies and she was trying to corral the mother. Some asshole had chucked the puppies into the creek and left. Sigh. Sadly I didn't have time to help her but she already had a line on a rescue to come get them (and I'm assuming they did because they were gone when I got home late)

I've only partially graded the nursing exam but I know it's going to be bad. Neuro is typically the hardest but 50% didn't even spend 40 minutes on it so I feel no need to do the most missed questions or anything like that for them. They didn't bother so they need to reap the whirlwind.

On my way to my office the two chemists spotted me and said hey we're going to Arch and Eddies, want to come. Figuring I'd need beer, I went.

Sadly I was on the highway stopped dead for a halfhour one exit up from my apartment. I was worried it was my friends in the accident because they had left before me. I don't know what's wrong with Dixon Run rd. the exit is just like mine (small country roads pulling onto the highway) other than it's dotted with crosses for the dead. (I know what they do, they pull out making that left hand turn by trying to fly onto the highway instead of going two lanes to the middle spot where you wait to be sure you can turn into oncoming traffic.

As expected there was an 18 wheeler with a slightly dented front bumper and the pick up he hit was bent in two and nearly flat. (It was not my friends) None of us expected whoever was in that truck to have survived. If they did it's a miracle.

Dinner at least was nice and I mentioned too bad I was too full for a Bubble (a sundae) at Michael's which has been in Jackson since 1909. Neither men had heard of it but then had to have it and since it was a block walk from the restaurant, we walked it. I did ask for no nuts because I'm no fan of peanuts on my sundaes. Well they put them on there but man I wasn't complaining. These things are roasted on site in a roaster from 1856 and apparently the ghosts of 160+ years of peanuts does something to them. Those nuts were salty goodness. I was ridiculously full.

I made some progress on my plotless Christmas crap. Now to make some more.
