Made it to Wales

So the UK is literally baking. It was over body temperature the last few days which is unprecedented. Even our guide who is a local was burning up so we went and bought fans at Asta's to hopefully sleep and keep me breathing because asthma plus this heat can be fatal.

We're having a good time. I could have stayed several more days in Ireland. I would love to see Galway and Cork but alas another time. Now some of what we're doing is for my research so my vacation is more or less half over (we're still working in some things just for fun but the rest is work for me).

We're at a very old hotel (late 1700s/early 1800s) up three stories which is a hassle with the bags but the room is great and the dinner was great. they had a sundae they call the gin serve which is lemon-ginger sorbet with dried honeycomb and gin. They didn't have enough to do 2 so put in black current sorbet with what was left of the lemon-ginger. I could have eaten that for days. delicious. In fact I think the current worked even better than the lemon-ginger.
