Thanks everyone for the input on my pitches. You have no idea how much I appreciate it. I'm not sure I want to do this right now because I know I have things to fix with this story but in the best case scenario and they want the first 50 pages I can do that fast.

So far the temp is hanging in at 67 in here which is where I keep it anyhow. I think I herniated everything moving all the shit away from the utility closet (CoM either eat the fucking food in those containers, donate it or pitch but for the love of god STOP hoarding it. But I am set if the virus makes it here.) Don't laugh I mean all of that. I have a hernia high just at the tip of my sternum and I could feel things moving in and out of it. Ugh. My arthritis back is going fuck you but hey the old TV is finally out of here and a bunch of cardboard is in the car for recycling.

It took all night. I want to write but guess who forgot the flash drive at work with the handwritten story bits? I rock too.

Dear Gen Freeform Exchange Creator,

Hi, you’re here because we have some things in common and I can’t wait to see what you’re going to create for me. I’m pretty easy going and please feel free to take my prompts and tags with a grain of salt. If something else about the characters inspire you, go for it. I see my prompts as mere suggestions, not something to lock you in. I’m open to fiction and art though I have to say most of my prompts are more fic-minded because I’m an author and far from an artist (okay I kinda suck at describing what I want in art if how I struggle with cover art specs is any indication). If you’re a vidder, literally any of my stories are up for grabs and you can find a good bunch of them here. on AO3

Let me hit my General Likes first: I’m a huge fan of things that feel like they could be an episode. Literally, caseFic is my favorite thing ever. I’m good with pre/post canon speculation. I love buddy fic and banter is always fun, snarky is lovely but touching and sweet is too (I’d never complain about WAFF stories). I enjoy action/adventure stuff. I like hurt/comfort and whump. Character driven stuff is good too. Dark!Fic is okay and angst is always good as is fluff. Fix-it fic is fine. Alternative realities with small changes is fine, like character A came to a fork in the road and did B on the show but you make them go down path C, that’s always an interesting scenario to me.

If you look through my tags for this challenge you’ll see a lot of repeats: loyalty, found family, dysfunctional family, father figures, aftermath of case fic/kidnapping/torture, friendly teasing, playful rivalry, suicide attempts (well really suicidal thoughts are fine, dealing with mental health issues is also fine, having the character die less fine but several characters in my chosen fandoms could believably have suicidal ideation and definitely have mental health issues so you can definitely use that). And so many more. Literally the tags could be a prompt in and of themselves.

General Dislikes AU settings (Like I said above, changes to things that happened in canon is fine, making this a rock & roll or they’re all in high school or something AU much less so), character/pairing bashing, homophobia, moving the characters too far from their canon representation, physical abuse (unless its canon), misogyny, jealousy as a motivator for the main characters.


Fandom #1: Prodigal Son
Fic/Art/podfic – any
General Info: I’m literally good with any of the groups on the tagset for this fandom. There isn’t a character here I don’t like. While it wasn’t really in the tagset I’m a sucker for the whole team working together. When it comes to Malcolm Bright + Gil Arroyo I especially love them as an ersatz father/son relationship, Malcolm Bright + Dani Powell and how they connect as friends with their own baggage interests me, Malcolm Bright + Edrisa Tanaka geeking out over things is always fun.

Prompts: The team gets called out on a case on a snowy day. Dani and Gil plot to help Malcolm recover after he’s rescued from the Junkyard Killer. Malcolm wants to thank Dani for all she’s done to help him but things don’t go as planned. They finally get a case where even Malcolm and Edrisa are taken aback by what they find. Malcolm and Gil doing the found family thing (at any age for Malcolm). (These are just suggestions to put along with the tags. Feel free to use or ignore as your creativity takes you).

Fandom #2: Buffyverse
Fic/Art/podfic – any
1. General Info: Angel & Connor and their complicated relationship is endlessly fascinating to me. I’m interested in the early days, fix-it fic, post-canon stuff is very welcome, especially if they’ve come to a healthier relationship (or a reasonable broken one).
2. Angel & Faith Lehane: I’ve always seen Angel as Faith’s one person, the one who believes in her no matter what. He’s the one who has been her rock. This would be a great post-canon relationship to explore (feel free to toss Connor in there too)
3. Angel & Kate Lockley : I enjoyed the early days of Angel and their tension relationship.
Connor & Daniel Holtz: It would be fun to see these two in Quor-Toth (Connor at any age) I do believe Holtz came to care about Connor. Even AR of Daniel not killing himself via Justine could be interesting.

Caveat – I know the Angel comics but don’t feel you need to follow comic book canon at all. I’m not really enjoying the Boom reboot so I’m not all that interested in their interpretation
Prompts: Honestly, I don’t have many. Seeing post canon as I mentioned above would be a lot of fun. Stories set in Quor-Toth too, always a good time for me. Case fic for Angel and Kate would be great (or just about any of them really)


Fandom #3: Fullmetal Alchemist
Fic/Art/podfic – any
1. General Info: gen fic – I really love most of the characters interacting together. You can’t go wrong with that. I’m very partial to Roy Mustang and Riza Hawkeye and their long friendship. Alphonse Elric & Edward Elric & Roy Mustang : I’m fond of both Ed and Roy’s friendly antagonism and Roy as a found ‘big brother’. Chris "Madam Christmas" Mustang & Roy Mustang : This is one of the more interesting relationships in the story to me, especially how fun Chris is and her girls and how Roy interacts with them all.


Prompts: Again the tagset here is prompt enough. Roy and Riza at any time in their arc (when he’s a student in her father’s house, in the war, post canon, whatever makes you happy), same with Roy and his Aunt Chris.
