Disappointed by everything

I started the day out to weedwhackers (they cut teh entire field with them) then opened an email from dad being a dick to me when I mentioned that the link he was so worried was giving him cookies was YouTube which he spends all day on anyhow (and this invoked two paragraphs of him being a sarcastic ass)

My research student has already found out her proposed cancer med can't survive the stomach ph so we're at a stand still and I only have one lab today. The labs are designed as a a new activity for the first hour -hour and half and the rest is to study bone/muscle anatomy for the huge exams on it. Today they left in an hour. Just left, made no attempt to study but will cry when they fail. I'm so disappointed in them. I mean why be here if you don't want to put in any effort. I just feel like I'm wasting my time. I'm starting to really hate this job. So many people can't afford an education and would kill to get one and you just piss your chances away. And to be honest h.s. sets them up for this by allowing them to redo stuff til it's right.
