What a difference a day makes
Apr. 19th, 2021 09:13 pmDid they substitute my pills for uppers yesterday? I could not get to sleep. Wide awake at 2 AM rewoken at 6 AM.
I stood up for myself (after an aide asking me if I was okay so I obviously looked in pain this morning) The PT was NOT pleased (well people don't like to be told how to do their job). However either a) she ignored the other PT's suggestion for e stim or decided it wasn't worth while and wasn't happen I didn't want to walk for an hour.
The head PT agreed to the estim and while I was lying there getting shocked (which I hate to say it, I rather enjoy and I pointed that out. In past orthopedic injuries it has been helpful.) we learned PT thought the hospital had sent me with a list of bed exercises. They had not. so for a week I missed out but if they hadn't mentioned I needed to do better with them we wouldn't have known. On the other hand I got a good look under the ace bandage and the lowest pin hole is strange. Around the hole scab is a swelling, very hard but not red or hot so not infectious (at least of soft tissue) I'm wondering if it's overgrown bone....
An hour later after lunch I then walked 60 feet (and then another 20 ) and stood for much longer playing balance games. Got back in time for helping with the biology position search committee and then...the queasies hit.
I spent an hour and a half lying on the bed and I still don't feel right but much better considering. I'm also exhausted so I plan to go to bed early and sleep.
Okay now I'm excited Fix the World is a hopepunk/solarpunk anthology but I didn't realize until too late wasn't also a strictly gay romance one too. I would have liked to have used my own name.
That said it's out there and I think my story, The Homestead at the Beginning of the World is a good one.
And now Amazing Stories, yes AMAZING STORIES did a little feature on it. I wrote my interview answers while high but they're there. That's one good thing for this sucky year
