Roughly a month later

I'm improving even though it mostly doesn't feel that way. Case in Point when I went shopping all over Huntington roughly a month ago I PAID for it the next day with a very painful and swollen knee. Today the knee is fine, not really swollen definitely not painful. I went to the gym even though again I was struggling to do what I was doing easily for a month so something IS going on (probably in the background like the anemia or something)

I also got a huge get well/birthday box from Flippy FILLED with Trader Joe's goodies, so much I can't even list it all plus there is other stuff like vampire socks and a vampires of New England book Whee. (gonna save that til next year though because Vs are hard and I do an alphabet reading challenge.) Expect TJ food reviews starting now

I was going to cook tonight but hell I didn't get home and have lunch until 3. I should have just had an early dinner but I'm glad I didn't because I got really tired. So I put in the chile and cheese tamales (refrigerator section) They were good but no big shakes. On the other hand they're cheap and filling and microwaved in 90 seconds so bonus

I bought the seasonal pumpkin empanadas (frozen) which I know sounds like they shouldn't exist but these were actually tasty. Slightly sweet but not hand-pie sugary, mostly just the pumpkin's sweetness. The one drawback was these things held heat. Even nipping off an end didn't really cool down the innards and they were way too hot even several minutes later (I ended up finishing the tamales first which didn't help the heat issue). I had to chop it into bitesized bits and that let it cool

Spicy mochi rice nuggets - WAY too hot, unpleasantly so. I'm going to try dipping them in ranch/Blue Cheese but the spicy is also a little bitter. This snack might not make it into my belly.

Maple Kettle Corn - yum, okay it doesn't really taste of maple but it's sweet and salty so nice.

Ube yam shortbreads = I was told these sold out super fast. They are good. I love ube.


And since I promised to share online things I think people would like try this Witches of Old New York (Virtual Tour) I've done plenty of the Boroughs of the Dead tours and loved them.
