Insomnia working for me

Something bizarre happened last night at the hotel. MY computer ran down despite being plugged in. I didn't think anything of it. I just assumed the recepticle was bad. I used my phone as an alarm as you do. WHen I took it off the car charger at the hotel it was 100% charged. I made one 60 second call to the parents to let them know I didn't die on the way up there and then set the alarm.

I did NOT sleep well. I rarely do but it was bad mostly because of this newish thing in hotels with having nothing but a gauzy goddamn curtain that blocks no light (I could see the cars in the lot and I'm sure anyone in the parking lot could see me in bed.) So many times I've run into this and there are no light blockers anywhere Anyhow I didn't sleep well and woke up over an hour before the alarm.

Thank God. Because my phone went from 100 to 0 in less than 10 hours. I have NO IDEA why It charged back up in the car and I'll watch it tomorrow.

I get to the orthopedic clinic and my choices of places to sit were next to the little young guy in handcuffs and two cops escorting him or the old dude coughing out a lung and has his mask under his chin. So yeah, little handcuff dude for the win but it didn't matter, I was taken right back.

The doctor was stunned at the price of that brace when I told him. He approved of the new lighter brace I bought. He did agree it was swollen and tight on the lateral side. The biceps femoris tendon is hard as hell. We're going to have to work on it. I'll have one last appointment in 3 months. I said no to that, see you in March unless there's an issue. I don't to drive that far in the dead of winter.

I also went and got my x-rays/mri and other images on a cd but haven't been brave enough to look at it.

I was done before 930 in the morning. Technically I knew i could have gotten back for the second class but why? The first class had to be canceled so everything had to be pushed (I won't give the test on two different days to the two sections) so why not take off and have fun.

I went shopping all over. Michael's and then I found a Nordstrom's Rack and got two neat items (a sweater and shirt), and then lost my mind in Whole Foods (at lunch there too) I bought ALL the cheese. I also got some great produce, rainbow carrots, tiny turnips, fennel, pumpkin toretellin . Hit Joann's Fabric and then ran through Trader Joe's screaming take my money, more cheese, golden gooseberries, pumpkin empenada, lemon ricotta ravoili, cheese tamales, pizza dough, it's as if I'm not going back there on Monday.

I did go to Barnes and Nobles to browse and get a coffee to go. Starbuck's Apple Crisp Macchiato had no apple taste ....or much of anything else. sigh. I got stuck for an hour in a traffic jam between Columbus and Circleville so I stopped at Tim Hortons for more coffe, their cold foam cold brews are much better than anything Starbucks' is shilling.
